Memorie I-III 2016, Oil on canvas
A memory from early childhood. We are on a vast sandy beach, a bit out in the water stands my family. I’m standing by the shore. They shout for me to come out, they laugh, it’s shallow water where they stand. I want but do not dare to pass the deep water between us. That is the memory I think of in the three paintings called Memorie.
